Improving Your SOIL.

Growers.

All plants need ‘food’ to grow – air, water, nutrients. And sunlight!

Plants also need mineral trace elements to complete their natural life cycle effectively… to germinate, grow, reproduce, to thrive.

These can only come from the SOIL.

combine harvester

Short-term gain.

With each harvest, the essential minerals that were taken up into the crop are removed from the land. If not replaced, they become depleted.

Intensive agricultural methods over the last century have achieved higher yields. Unfortunately this has also accelerated the depletion of trace minerals.

In many cases, the lack of certain elements is the limiting factor in crop nutrient efficiency. Yields will suffer, regardless of nutrient availability.

Soil Analysis.

You might already know what your soil contains - we can use a recent result to assess what is missing, and what to add. For maximum benefit your soil analysis should include Boron, Cobalt, Copper, Iron, Manganese, Molybdenum, Nickel, Selenium, Sulphur, Zinc.

If you don’t have a suitable analysis, SOIL Nutrition can arrange the right test for you.

Your Minerals for Your Field.

All soil is different. SOIL Nutrition will manufacture a granular mineral mixture that is specific to your field, based upon the existing crop performance, soil analysis and planned cropping rotation. You do not buy ingredients that you do not need.

Our granules are perfectly homogeneous, every particle will contain the same mineral components, for the most even distribution.

They are durable and enduring. The granules break down slowly, releasing their goodness gradually over the seasons. increased mineral accessibility helps boost plant growth when it is needed.

Spread the love.

Our granules are most easily broadcast with a fertilizer spinner. You might already have this equipment.

If you don’t, SOIL Nutrition can arrange the spreading for you. We would use a quad bike to minimise compaction whilst allowing access on most land types in most conditions.

Long-term Gain.

Restoring all the mineral trace elements also boosts soil biology and in turn the soil nutrient accessibility. You can save on fertilizer inputs while reducing pollution from run-off. Stronger crops grown with lower inputs means greater profits.

Plant growth also strengthens below ground , increasing soil organic matter levels. Locking up carbon this way helps offset climate change.

Improve Your Soil. Protect Your Future.

The UK government is recognizing the contribution that agriculture can make to improve the environment. Following Brexit, the Single Farm Payment is likely to change, and will reward farmers who improve their soil nutrient indices.

One quarter of UK farmers rely on subsidy payments to remain profitable. Improving your soil will improve profitability and protect future subsidy payments.
